Bruce W. Bean, Ph.D., the founder of BWB-Images, grew up in a family with a strong history of photographic interest. His grandfather used a view camera, shooting with glass plate negatives. His father worked with medium format and 35 millimeter cameras. Bruce was always "taking pictures" but pursued a career as a Clinical Psychologist on the faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Kansas Medical Center and also in private practice. He began his professional photographic career later in life.
"Photography gives me great pleasure, allowing me to pursue my interests in a variety of fields including people, cultures and travel , and to share my experiences and impressions with others."
After establishing his skills with traditional film and darkroom photography, Bruce now emphasizes work with digital image capture using Nikon Digital System Cameras and Lenses.
